Neopenda’s founder and CEO Sona Shah was profiled in The Atlantic’s “Follow Her Lead: What Women Bring to Business” feature.
Described as “the crusader,” Shah describes her vision of bringing tailored medical technologies to environments where there is greatest need. In Uganda, where neonatal mortality rates are several multiples higher than those in countries like the US, it drove the inception of Neopenda’s first product: a wireless monitor to alert nurses of infants in distress.
Shah describes the challenges and opportunities she’s faced building a company to address this mission. Most recently, Neopenda has partnered with Axel Johnson to bring their product to market.
She is featured alongside other pioneering women in the impact investing industry, including Jacqueline Novogratz, the founder and CEO of Acumen. The complete article can be found at this link.
